Two good looking trained black male golden doodle puppies. Born 7/9/09.  Ready to go by Thanksgiving. Minimal if any shedding. Said to be good dogs for people with allergies. Trained Golden Retriever Puppies ready for their new homes! These beautiful pups have nearly completed their Smiling Dog Puppy PHD six-week training class. I have 4 females and 1 male. Two of the females are reddish in color. The male and two other females are lighter. All have undergone extensive training and socialization. They have been regular visitors to downtown Westport and Bethel. They are particularly fond of Aspetuck Wildcat football games. They are trained to ride comfortably in cars and are on-leash obedience trained to Heel, Sit, Down, Stay and Come. They are also crated trained and have a well-established housebreaking routine. One comment I get over and over again is, “I can’t believe how mellow these puppies are.” Most people believe that puppies are supposed to jump, nip and bark all the time. Untrained puppies do. I’m sure mine would as well… if I let them. Great puppies don’t happen by accident, they are created and positively nurtured. If you’re looking to add a new pet to your household but don’t have the inclination to go through the first stages of puppydom, I encourage you to take a look at our Smiling Puppies. A Smiling Puppy equals a Smiling Owner.

Coming in August 2009: I will be getting three beautiful female Golden Retriever puppies in mid-August. The puppies were born June 20th, 2009 in Iowa. Chris Ries has been breeding Goldens for over 15 years. Chris is assisting me in selecting three females with solid temperaments. As always, when I select puppies I rule out the most dominant dog in the litter and  the most submissive. I look for puppies that are social, trusting and like to be handled. These are the types of puppies I have the most success with turning into outstanding family pets. One of the puppies is already sold so I have two available as of July 20, 2009. The puppies will begin their training program with me on or about August 15, 2009. They should be finished and ready to become a treasured member of your family in late September. I’m very excited about the arrival of these puppies. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

About these Lab puppies: Born February 19, 2009 in Macomb, IL. Dad was a yellow lab, Mom was a chocolate lab. They came from a litter of 13 pups. Both parents were active hunting dogs and house pets. I picked both puppies up when they were eight weeks old. They’ve both been a pleasure to have in my home. From the very beginning they slept through the night and I can count on one hand the number of accidents they’ve had while in their crates. Clover is mellow and aims to please. She likes to follow me around and was very easy to train. She loves to be with people and likes nothing better than a good belly rub. Lucy is a bit bolder. She’s quick to explore. When it came time to train, she was quite spirited. Getting her to walk on a leash was quite the chore. However, once she decided I wasn’t going to give up, she excelled. Lucy is very responsive and works her obedience drills very quickly. She is a sharp wonderful dog. Both dogs have been frequent visitors to my three boy’s lacrosse games this spring. While they weren’t interested in the games, they loved the attention of the children, adults and dogs that were all around them. Both pups are very social and are used to being around crowds of people. These are two pups you would be proud to take anywhere.
